Interactivity@GT, presented by Georgia Tech's GVU Center, is the annual showcase featuring graduate students enrolled in the Institute's M.S. in Human-Computer Interaction, M.S. in Digital Media, and Master of Industrial Design programs. Due to COVID-19, Interactivity@GT in 2021 will feature an on-line career fair that is focused on UX/HCI jobs and internships for students enrolled in the three programs. Companies are invited to reserve a complimentary space to recruit during this event. The career fair will take place on Wednesday, 3 February from 1:00 pm to 4:00 p.m. The three participating programs are recognized as world-class educators of top UX/HCI talent. Graduates go on to successful careers in design, user research, content management, product management, and new technology development. One of the oldest and best respected degree programs of its kind, with over 50 participating faculty. The interdisciplinary degree involves four schools: Interactive Computing; Industrial Design; Literature, Media, and Communication; and Psychology.
Students acquire the practical skills and theoretical understandings needed to be UX/HCI/UI leaders, including technical skills, design sensibilities, and psychological underpinnings.
Offered by the Digital Media program within the School of Literature, Media and Communications, this degree offers arts- and humanities-based advanced study in digital media design and critique.
Faculty include leading theorists and practitioners who approach the design of digital artifacts as a defining creative and intellectual challenge of the 21st century, comparable in its cultural complexity and historical importance to the inventions of the book, the photograph, and the moving image.
Students learn an inclusive design approach for designing and creating products, systems, services and environments that are usable by all segments of the population.
